batchmates
it is really amazing how time flies so so fast, never have i imagined that someday i would end up sharing a cold bottle of beer with the little girls i used to cuddle. Paghe, Mae-i and Darling Gamay graduated college few days ealier and as an after grad party or according to them "chill", me and their respective kuya's decided to treat them out. Since it was a sunday night most of the bars in Iligan were closed, we needed to walk from bar after bar just to check out a place to "chill" finally we find a not-so-perfect place to hang out:
live band- Check!
cold san mig light and red horse - Check!
So much better than going back to our hotel rooms frustrated. We shared a good laugh from the weird band whose lead singer danced like that baby in a diaper screensaver, who according to the three girls was also the endorser of the famous iligan sukang pinakurat. It was also kuya mamaks birthday the following day so it was a double blast for all of us. After quite a number of red horse for them and 3 bottles of san mig light for me we moved to a bar few steps away from el centro. Bangkok was the bar's name, not so spacious, very crowded, but then again we had no other choice. There the girls danced the night away, i can't help but laugh at my self because i acted like a mother hen there constantly checking that the girls were in no way near to a group of guys who were staring at them. I even suggested or shall i say ordered that our chairs be arranged in a circle just to make a statement to the other people there that the girls will dance exclusively in that area and that no stranger would be tolerated beyond those boundaries.
Inside i was very proud of the girls for not disappointing their parents by finishing school. The celebration ended with tears out of happiness and drunkness. To sarika isabel, syldawn mae and abigail krista congratulations my palanggas and love you muchos batchmates!
